PAINTING NOW FINISHED!
I am super pleased to confirm the painting is now finished! I have included lots of close up images which hopefully highlights the level of detail achieved. This is my most detailed painting to date. A massive thank you to everyone who has been following the paintings progress. It's very much appreciated! Thank you!
SCENE DESCRIPTION
The scene is featuring Royal Navy carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth leaving Portsmouth with two BBMF Spitfires flying overhead. Having Portsmouth as a setting is recognition of it's connections to the D-Day landings and 80th anniversary next year; bringing to the scene both modern and commemorative elements.
This is my 4th scene with Gibsons! (the first of two new Gibsons scenes I'm painting this year!) This is an extra special puzzle illustration as its going to be presented in a 'Help for Heroes' branded box and will help raise money for this worthwhile charity!
PRINT RESERVATION
250x prints will be produced, but these won't be available until the jigsaw puzzle has been released by Gibsons, January 2024. The original painting is going to be auctioned next year and 50% of the sale price will be going to Help for Heroes.
Print sizes and prices will be decided later in the year.
