Welcome to this blog which is tracking the progress of my latest Gibsons Puzzle scene. You can also reserve limited edition prints here (scroll further down for details)
LATEST STAGE
Both Spitfires now finished and I have marked out the land area properly ready for my next task, which is painting in Portsmouth! Basically adding every possible visible building etc working from various reference images and Google Earth. I will be leaving HMS Queen Elizabeth II and the tug boats until last.

SCENE DESCRIPTION
The scene will feature Royal Navy carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth II leaving Portsmouth with two BBMF Spitfires flying overhead. Having Portsmouth as a setting is recognition of it's connections to the D-Day landings and 80th anniversary next year; bringing to the scene both modern and commemorative elements.
This is my 4th scene with Gibsons! (the first of two new Gibsons scenes I'm painting this year!) This is an extra special puzzle illustration as its going to be presented in a 'Help for Heroes' branded box and will help raise money for this worthwhile charity!
