This exciting new painting project is now underway and is being created to mark the 90th anniversary next year of the first Spitfire prototype flight.
As well as limited edition prints; the scene is going to be the next in my series of scenes for Gibsons. This one is planned as a 1000 piece puzzle, due for release during January.
24TH JUNE - PROGRESS UPDATE
Just a few more elements to place at this level of detail before I sweep across adding the really fine detail; bringing the composition to life. I plan on leaving detail to the Spitfires until last.

The painting is based upon the below draft.

This is your opportunity to reserve limited edition prints at any stage throughout the project; even now should you wish. No deposit required and you will be allocated a print number. Please see print details and reservation request button below.

SCENE DDETAILS
It's a warm Spring day in 1940; only a few months prior to the Battle of Britain. In the Cambridgeshire countryside, a mother and her three children enjoy a picnic watching the trains go by; a slight distraction while her husband is away at war. Her eldest son points to the sky in excitement as three Mk1 Spitfires from nearby RAF Duxford No.19 Squadron fly low overhead. Adding an amazing thrill to their trainspotting picnic.
