Depicting an F-15E from 335th Fighter Squadron "CHIEFS" during Operation Iraqi Freedom. This particular Strike Eagle was the last to release its GBU-12s on ammunition storage facilities north of Tikrit, Iraq; adding to the already raging fires and explosions lighting up the night sky; illuminating the low cloud blanket above as well as the entire cockpit. The heat was also intense; so much so, it was felt by the crew as the thermal blast pushed up the starboard wing.
